Shelby American unveiled the 2011 Shelby GT350!

To coincide with the 45th anniversary of the 1965 Shelby GT350, Shelby American has unveiled the 2011 Shelby GT350. The 2011 Shelby GT350 builds on the 2011 Mustang GT, which means it is powered by the same 5.0L V8 fitted with a Ford Racing supsercharger that bumps the power up to 500 horsepower.
In addition to the supercharger under the hood the Shelby GT350 gets an upgraded suspension with new Ford Racing springs, struts, sway bars and adjustable caster/camber plates. The GT350 also gets a Baer brake system, Borla exhaust system and 19-inch Cragar wheels. The car also receives a new front fascia, tail light trim, front splitter, rear deck lid filler panel and rear fascia.
The Shelby GT350 is a post title program, which means that buyers buy the Mustang GT from a local dealer and then it is turned into the Shelby GT350 by the Shelby American Team. The price of the conversion is $33,995, which does not include the price of the base car. So expect to pay in the low $60K range once it's all done.
