Nissan has officially presented a new Patrol

In Abu-Dhabi the presentation of all-wheel drive off-road car Nissan Patrol of new generation has taken place. As the director of department of design of products of Japanese motor-car manufacturer Nissan has declared during press conference, the car has received appearance in style of concept car Terranaut of four-year-old prescription which in comparison with the predecessor became less rough and more stylish. Besides new design the car also begins to be equipped with other motor and a new transmission.

The car will be offered with the eight-cylinder petrol engine with direct injection of fuel. The volume of the new motor makes 5,6 litres (earlier at Patrol was 4,8-l V8), power — 400HP, and the maximum twisting moment — 550Nm. Such unit begins to work together with a 7-step automatic transmission. Off-road car dynamic characteristics yet are not informed.

The novelty also will receive an independent suspension bracket of all four wheels, the modernised brake system with four-piston brake mechanisms and 358 mm disks on a forward axis, and also system HBMC reducing lists of a body in turns.

The car salon in comparison with the predecessor will receive richer furnish, and as an option for an off-road car it will be possible to order multimedia DVD system with seven-inch screens for passengers of the second row of armchairs. On preliminary data, Nissan Patrol new generation will appear on sale by the end of current year.
