New cars in 2008 - 60 new cars &new bikes in 2008

If you are planning to buy a new car, then wait let the new models come in then spoil your days to choose which one suit's you best.
About 60 new cars, models and variants are expected to reach the showrooms in 2008.Most of the model will be shown in coming Auto expo from jan 10-17 most of features will be exposed to you.
Their are about 15 new models in middle class and small car segment and around 20 new models in the midsize segment.and much more..
Tata Motors is slated to come out with a range of exciting new models during 2008. Their most awaited launch is the Rs-1 lakh people's car targeted at entry-level customers. The company will also launch a new version of its popular Sumo vehicle and the Xenon pick-up truck. Other brands of Tata, such as the Indica and Indigo will be upgraded with new engines powered by Fiat technology. There are also plans for a hybrid Indica that can be powered by electricity.

Hyundai has a host of cars lined up for a 2008 launch. The Hyundai i20, a premium version of the i10 hatchback launched in 2007 is expected to face tough competition in the crowded B segment. This compact car, with its unique European design, is marked at about Rs 5.5 lakh. The Santa Fe, a premium Sports Utility Vehicle from Hyundai, is also scheduled for a glittering launch in 2008. This muscular car, which will be imported from South Korea, is likely to be priced at around Rs 22 lakh. Hyundai may also be coming out with a new version of Elantra, an i10 with automatic transmission and an LPG version of the Santro.
Mahindra & Mahindra is also planning to introduce the new 2.2 litre engine for Scorpio in early 2008.The company's joint venture with French automaker Renault will bring second product Logan MCV.M&M will be queue for launch of its multi- purpose vehicle Ingenio.This vehicle may be offered as a hybrid option, which may be operated by both diesel and an electric battery.

The year will also mark Italian carmaker Fiat's second innings in India. The company's launch list for the year includes the diesel version of the Palio, the Linea and the Grande Punto.Fiat Cinquecento that comes with a price tag close to Rs 12 lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki Splash,the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel car is essentially an upgrade of the Wagon R.Maruti is also gearing up to introduce the sedan version of the Swift and the diesel variant of the recently launched SX4 is not far behind.
The Fiat Bravo and the Mistubishi Lancer Gallant will keep the debut buzz alive.
Czech carmaker Skoda will finally join the party with its first hatchback offering__Fabia. Available in the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel versions, the Fabia is expected to be launched in the Rs 5 to Rs 6.5 lakh range.Skoda will exhibit this new superb in 2008.
GM and Hyundai will bring in two SUVs in 2008. The Chevy Captiva and the Hyundai Santa Fe will debut in first half. New Honda Accord will come in around the same time, while it hopes to bring the new City in second half.

In the luxury car space too there will be plenty of action with the all new C Class from Daimler and the BMW M5 & M6 expected to be the star eye candies.
Honda is also set to launch new honda city, new honda accord, Honda civic Hybrid and enter in small segmant with new honda jazz/fit.

In two wheeler/new bikes-Suzuki plans to come out with the 150 cc bike in mid-2008, and a 250 cc bike by the end of 2008 and a launch of a 125cc scooter.Hayabusa (1,300cc) and GXR (1,000 cc) could be brought in India by March 2008 .
Honda Motorcycle is prepared to unveil three new products at Auto Expo in New Delhi with a 125 cc automatic scooter sector. Furthermore, the company will also introduce two new motorcycles in the 125 cc and 150 cc division.
